Welcome!
The famous writer Donald Bisset has created an interesting fairy tale - "River of Words". Which begins like that: “Another time a river of words flowed. It flowed into the sea, and in the sea there was not water, but story books..." Inspired by this thought, I decided to create a virtual Lithuanian school GUDRUTIS.
It is true that big rivers start from very small streams. I invite everyone, from the smallest toddlers, comfortably nestled in the arms of their mommies, to teenagers and adults, to join this small stream and turn it into a real sea of knowledge.
We have created a space where students from all over the world can gather: learn Lithuanian, talk about traditions, share their stories and be unique!
Here we will creatively develop traditions, get to know the culture and its values also play and create together.

About me
I am Giedrė Arau, born and raised in Lithuania. In Klaipėda, I've finished my Master's studies in Theater and Art History. I have been teaching children the secrets of theater and stage expression for almost ten years.
After leaving to America, I didn't stop teaching and learning (I spent 5 years improving my knowledge of pedagogy in China).
Today, I invite you to the virtual Lithuanian school GUDRUTIS, which connects families from all over the world who want to learn Lithuanian - unique language.
As a mother of three little ones, I understand the challenges that parents of bilingual families face. I believe we can create a friendly community, where it's fun not only to communicate, but also to improve and learn and grow together.
